Cloud Native PDX: No C, No Opaque AI (slides & recording)

I previously posted about spending a September evening with the Cloud Native PDX crowd, sharing an all observability night with Reese Lee from New Relic.

Today I presented No C, No Opaque AI: Watch Your First Fluent Bit Contribution Happen Live in the Fireside Room at SteepleJack Brewing. Live fork, live branch, live commit, live PR against a real tracked issue in the Fluent Bit docs. No slides pretending to be a terminal, because most of tonight happens in an actual one.

DevOpsDays PDX: Choose Your Own CNCF Observability Project Adventure (slides)

I previously posted about heading to DevOpsDays PDX to run a hands-on workshop across the CNCF observability stack.

Today we ran the workshop Choose Your Own CNCF Observability Project Adventure in Room 327. It was bring a laptop, pick a project, and go deep on whichever one you care about most: Fluent Bit for pipelines, Prometheus for metrics, OpenTelemetry for traces, OpenTelemetry for Java Developers if you want hands on instrumentation, or Perses for visualization.
